History
Retriever Towing was started in May 1975 to provide vehicle impound services to the Portland Police and to business owners and property management companies.
Our goal from the start has been to provide this service with high ethics and integrity.
On several occasions during those 36+ years, Retriever has been the successful bidder for the Abandoned Vehicle Contract for the City of Portland.
We established several satellite storage facilities, for the convenience of vehicle owners looking to retrieve their impounded vehicle: Beaverton, Parkrose, Clackamas, and our main location in NW Portland's Pearl District.
Retriever has always used wheellift-style trucks, attaching only to a towed vehicle's tires. In addition, we use Collins Tow Dollies to tow the opposite end of the towed vehicle.
